I've spend almost the entire day at Wooddale Church today. I arrived early for a special event and taught a class this afternoon. I was also at our evening service. But, my heart was with the people of Colorado, New Life Church and Youth With A Mission. What a difficult 18 months this has been for New Life Church. Please keep this church, and it's members in your prayers. If you haven't heard the news (and I'm assuming you have) a gunman fired bullets at around 1:00 this afternoon, killing one person injuring three at New Life Church. This is the same church that is still healing from Pastor Ted Haggard's (the founder of New Life Church) resignation after admitting to agregious sin. God is working in mighty ways at New Life, and I believe that so much of what they are going through is spiritual warfare. Keep this precious part of the bride of Christ in your prayers.
Pray also for the students and staff at Youth with a Mission in Arvada, Colorado, who are also dealing with the aftermath of a shooting last night in which two staffers were killed by a gunman. The body of Christ has a beautiful way of pulling together during tragedies like this. Pray for the family or families of the gunman or gunmen involved.
